Our story began a little over six years ago in College Station, TX. We had just begun our first semester of college at Texas A&M University when we met in a first-year student organization called FLiP. From the moment Nate laid eyes on Hailey from the top of Northside Parking Garage, he knew she was the most beautiful girl in the world.

We began spending lots of time together—studying, working out at the rec, and helping film our end-of-semester chemistry projects (even though Nate’s project sadly did not actually work). After what some would call maybe a little too much time hanging out without a label, Nate asked Hailey to be his girlfriend on February 11th, 2021, and she said yes!

Throughout the next three years of college, we enjoyed taking trips together—a handful of ski trips, a road trip around Texas, and a failed camping trip to the McDonald Observatory—attending workout classes (Nate was frequently the only male at the yoga and Pilates classes Hailey taught, due to zero success in convincing his roommates to come with him), and lots of experimenting with home-cooked dinner recipes.

During the summers, we enjoyed taking each other on hometown dates and sharing the fun memories we have of the places where we grew up. Through it all, we always showed up to love and support each other through the big and small moments in life. Three graduations (Hailey will tell you she is more educated than Nate, as two of these were hers), ten birthdays (Nate’s favorite holiday of the year is October 13th), one successful—and one unsuccessful—Super Bowl, and countless memories later, our love and admiration for each other have only grown!

Fast forward to July 6th, 2025. Nate brought Hailey to a small chapel in Port Aransas, TX, called the Chapel on the Dunes. After reading her a few Bible verses about what it means to love someone, he told her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and asked her to marry him. Hailey said yes again, and the rest is history!
